Department Store Return General Merchandise Pallets

Unsorted? What does this mean?
With the Unsorted department store return surplus and salvage merchandise loads, like the raw loads, you get everything. The higher end liquidation merchandise is not sorted out of the loads and sold at a higher recovery. But then neither are the dollar items. So you get a good mixture of department store return merchandise.

Processed & Manifested
Every item is handled and scanned at the Processing Center in either Ohio or Georgia and a manifest is generated. Most obviously “un-sellable” surplus and salvage merchandise items are discarded during the processing. As the individual items are being processed, a label is applied that has a brief description of the item, and a retail value.

In this event, the item is given a “Generic” Description and a retail value is assigned to the item, usually much lower than the actual retail value of the item (we call these Cherries).

Also, most vendors require some form of defacing for brand protection. All of the items on these surplus and salvage merchandise loads are already defaced.

These loads are better than the raw loads because you will know the retail value of your load and your price is based on that. The other loads are fixed price with no manifest and the retail value can vary considerably from load to load.

You get a manifest on the load, retail prices on the merchandise and product already defaced in accordance with brand requirements. From the pallet to the shelf - It doesn’t get any easier than this!
